- The party returns to Gauntlight ruins after resting/refreshing in Otari
- They explore what looks like the remains of heavily decayed office and private study. Within they find:
- Stairs leading down to a deeper level
- In the remains of a desk:
- lesser comprehension elixir
- minor elixir of life
- lesser skeptics elixir
- 2 bronze keys
- A secret passage that leads to the east
- The group explores the secret passage east and uncovers a temple dedicated to some old, strange god
- a skeleton is found on the outside of the secret passage . On the body they find:
- +1 scimitar
- 4 daggers
- silver ring worth 5gp
- minor healing potion
- There’s an alter to the north…
- But the party decides to explore the double doors to the south
- a skeleton is found on the outside of the secret passage . On the body they find:
- Beyond the doors they find a room with
- Door carved with skulls and a tangle of moss (presumably related to the old god being worshipped in temple)
- A giant scorpion!
- A tough battle ensues, but the party overcomes the bug; but not without one them getting knocked unconscious
- They return to the alter to the north and find 2 more skeletons that reanimate with an eerie blue glow… corpse lights! A tough battle against what looked like just a couple of simple skeletons takes place.

- The group then returns to the weirdly pristine light house tower to investigate the upper floors.
- They use one of the bronze keys found earlier to unlock access to the Gauntlight copula
- Aside from a weird blue light there is nothing here… during the day
- They head down to the odd, persistent puddle of Belcorra-blood at the base of the lighthouse and wait for evening
- At night the blood comes alive into an angry, scream haunt of Belcorra that spins and bathes the party in decaying blue light
- After several attempting to damage the haunt through weapons (or soak up the blood using a bedroll) Lunasan is able to draw on her cleric know-how and exorcises the haunt (again one of the party goes down before defeating the haunt)
- The haunt dissipates… but something thumps up above in the previously empty copula above…

Abomination Vaults – Session 8

Abomination Vaults – Session 7
- After defeating the pair of giant flies in the last session the party heads north into the remains of a dining room.
- Within they trigger a ‘haunt’, which is a group of 6 dead kobolds
- The group realizes that the kobold bones scattered in the rubble are part of what’s needed to overcome the haunt.
- The party defeats the haunt through a combination of removing the bones from the rubble and intimidation

- The heroes then head back out into the main hall, and next head into the base of the light house
- Here they find a puddle of fresh blood, even though it looks like no one has been in the room from for a very long time
- Nolam connects psychically with the ‘Blood of Belacorra’ and learn this is where she was defeated.
- The group then heads to the east side of the Gauntlight ruins, finding a large room with a sink hole in the center
- Four gremlins attack the party, but are defeated
- The group surmises the sink hole was caused by Belacorra’s final battle and that this was where Otari Ilvashti (of the Roseguard) was lost.
- They then head across a bridge leading to a structure in the south east of the Gauntlight. A ‘scarecrow’ of sorts is setup to try and ward off intruders. They find a Mace +1.
- The next room houses the leader of the Gremlins, Boss Skrawng.
- Skrawng, his giant spider and 2 more gremlins attack the party
- Skrawng surrenders when everyone else is defeated
- The party learns that he and the other gremlins were forced to the surface by ‘mushroom-eyed people’
- Skrawng was planning to eventually attack Otari with the ‘trained’ flies they had captured, but he had not executed any of those plans yet (was confused why the party was there and attacking them… sad?)
- He offers a reward if the party defeats the ‘mushroom-eyed people’ in the dungeon below so that the gremlins can return home
- He offers a map of the areas of the 1st and 2nd level of the dungeon that he is familiar with.
- The group heads back to Otari to report on what they’ve learned so far. Wrin is concerned and urges the party to continue their investigation of the Gauntlight.

Abomination Vaults – Session 6
- The group arrives at the Gauntlight ruins after a brisk 20 minute walk from Otari
- In the opening guardhouse, what turns out to be a group of 3 gremlins try to coerce the group to eat poop as a prank. The party is not amused and murders 2 of the 3 gremlins; one of which escapes via a vine leading to a building to the east of the guardhouse.

- Peridot worth 2gp (found in poop with broken tooth)

- The group carefully crosses a sabotaged bridge leading to the main hall of the Gauntlight Keep.
- In the main hall they encounter 3 more gremlins and a giant maggot who quickly attack the party. The enemies are dispatched even though the maggot vomited all over the place.
- The group continues to the west and finds a half-eaten, rotten giant frog.
• 2 more maggots burst forth from the frog carcass. More maggot dies, no one gets vomit on them. - In a guard post a giant fly attacks the party and annoyingly zooms about all over the place.
• Just as the first fly is defeated, a 2nd one arrives and joins the fight - XP:

Menace Under Otari – Session 5
- Party reaches throne room for the kobold boss, Zolgran. A fight breaks out between them, Zolgran and 2 kobold scout guards.
- Zolgran is defeated.
- The party finds a locked chest along with the chest’s key on Zolgran’s body. The chest contains:
- bracelet with fish patterns worth 5gp
- old map that depicts some strange looking dungeon
- Smoking sword
- Wand of heal
- 2 healing potions
- Masquerade scarf
- The rest of the strange egg shell that has been the source of egg-shell pendants found on many kobolds during this adventure
- The group moves on to a large cavern beyond the throne room that is filled with large, towering mushrooms… and a wyrmling green dragon!
- The dragon valiantly tries to survive but succumbs to the party’s attacks.

- Interrogated remaining kobold that surrendered after fight at end of session 3. Party was able to learn:
- “Boss Zolgran is the big leader of the mighty kobolds, and she has powerful magics to roast you alive! She’s very angry all the time and demands much from her servants. Especially now that we have a powerful new friend!”
- “The friend is a dragon and a blessing from the gods, a sign that kobolds are destined to return to the surface and conquer the pathetic human town. As soon as the hatchling is all grown, we’ll rise up to take what is ours!”

- The party circled back to unexplored rooms earlier in the dungeon at the urging of the GM 😉
- Found room that was partial flooded due to broken water elemental orb.
- Three other orbs occupied the room; fire, earth, and air
- A Cinder Rat hovered around the fire orb and immediately attacked the heroes.
- After defeating the hot rat, the group investigated the earth and air orbs and acquired these one-time-use powers lasting the next 24 hours

- Further into the rough, natural caves the group comes across 3 very stinky xulgaths, who they surprise and murder. (but not without needing to retch mid combat due to the extreme odor coming their victims)

- Entered audience hall with 2 kobold warriors and 1 kobold trap master
- One of the kobolds is done away with by the spear trap the party previously enabled
- Nolam hears trap being reset so he runs back to disable it

- Party is able to use table from previous room to make bridge over trapped stones. Gilgalad disables each of the corner devices (mermaid fountain trap is disabled quietly)

Menace Under Otari – Session 1
- Wrapped up character creation and equipment buying

- Tamily Tanderveil asks the party to help her find out what is eating all of her salted fish stored in the basement of the Otari Fishery
- The party finds a group of 4 giant rats in the basement. After taking a (heavy) beating the rats are disposed of. But these 4 rats aren’t enough to account for all the fish that has been eaten.
- A collapsed wall in the basement leads to a series of caves beneath Otari; the party continues
- They come across a 10′ cliff that they successfully use rope to climb down without injury
- The party comes across a large cavern filled with thick webbing.
- Gilgalad tries to cut through some of the webbing which alerts the giant spider hiding deep in the room. Combat!
- The spider attempts to spray its webbing on the party, but is quickly overcome come by Suman’s barbaric charge
